Shrimp Sauce Yum Yum Sauce
Don’t you LOVE Japanese food? I do! My FAVORITE part is the Shrimp Sauce Yum Yum Sauce! I could drink that stuff by the gallon. I could totally – TOTALLY – embarrass myself at the restaurant by turning up the shrimp sauce bowl and drinking it down!
Worry no more! Like me you have probably tried other recipes for Shrimp Sauce that you found on the internet. They all left you wanting something, didn’t they. This is the real deal right here.
You might be wondering, “how did you get that recipe anyway”. While most of my recipes here on Loaves and Dishes are created by me – in this case, I kind of “did a deal”. A friend of my daughter’s is a line cook. He gave up the recipe after I shared my macaroni and cheese recipe plus I fixed dinner for my daughter and a group of her friends at my house. Being a friend’s mom has it’s privileges!
So wait no longer – go and fix yourself some shrimp sauce and drink as much as you want. I promise not to tell anyone, its just our little secret! Lol.
Let me say – you can easily just make half of this recipe if you believe it will be too much. But why??? You can eat shrimp sauce on everything! A little on your eggs, a little on your sandwich, a little to dip your chips in – and HEY! Its all gone!
One more thought here – you might want to add a tiny bit more sugar – according to your tastes. You be the boss in your kitchen!
Let’s eat ya’ll.
Make Dinner Not War!
Sometimes, I play with my editing program too much !
- 2 Cups of Mayonnaise
- ½ Cup Ketchup
- 3 Tbs Sugar
- 1 Tbs Garlic Powder
- 1 Tbs Paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ Cup of water
- 1 tsp Siracha or other hot sauce.
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl – may add extra sugar to taste. Allow to sit in refrigerator for at least an hour before serving so that flavors can meld.
And now for my faithful readers – a post blog dessert.
Know what this is? This is the Edisto Tree! Our favorite sign of summer! This is a real dessert when faced with winter – eh?
